August 2021 – January 2022: the next stage of the EcoREactive plastic processing workshop project.
Within the project:
- special constructions for mosaics were made to be used during eco-lessons with school youth, and an eco-action was carried out to clean up natural dumps on the banks of the Dniester river within the Dniester Canyon. The plastic collected during the eco-action was sorted and shredded by volunteers in the workshop;
- partial repair of the workshop premises was carried out;
- during eco-lessons and excursions to the workshop participants observe a demonstration of the process of working with plastic – from the category of “garbage” to the category of “raw materials” (collection, sorting, grinding, remelting) and further – production of the useful things;
- In total, during 2021, more than 1,000 kilograms of “2” type plastic were collected, sorted and recycled.
The EcoREactive workshop project was implemented as part of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional contest of the social ideas with the support of the Strengthening Cross-Sectoral Cooperation for Social Cohesion (SC3) project, co-funded by the European Union and the British Council in Ukraine in partnership with Youth Platform.
